Staying at this charming hotel was a truly special experience. Housed in an old palazzo, the hotel beautifully preserves the atmosphere of centuries past while offering modern comfort. The fact that it is still in the hands of the original family adds a unique and personal touch to the stay. The location is perfect—just a five-minute walk from St. Mark’s Square—yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful. The rooms are small but cozy, with a lovely interior that enhances the historic charm of the place. Breakfast was a delight, with a good selection of fresh options to start the day. A special thank you to the wonderful woman at the breakfast buffet, whose kindness and warmth made mornings even better. The staff, in general, were exceptionally kind and helpful, making sure every detail was taken care of. If you’re looking for a hotel that offers both history and hospitality in the heart of Venice, this is the perfect place!

Convenient location to St Marks Square, etc. Short walk to water bus, water taxi, etc. Friendly front desk. Carried our bags up the steps to the first floor. Very accommodating when I requested a lower level as there is no elevator. Breakfast was excellent with a variety of choices - breakfast room was overlooking the canal. Made new friends there. Clean. Quiet. Best gelato was next door - Gelateria Mastro Cono! Close to restaurants and shops. Next door to the La Scala del Bovolo e Palazzo Contarini di San Paternian (see photo below). Room as shown on Booking photos. Note: GPS map is slow so give it time to catch up when walking through narrow streets. Also, beware of walking into a canal when following the map :-o

There is obviously no elevator so when you book the room with the canal view, it is at the very top of the hotel and lots of stairs. The room was tilting a bit which was a bit strange - if you look close enough, the entire hotel is shifting and slanted. You had to go directly to the window to see the canals, it's not like you walk into your room and see the canals. I would not bother with a canal view next time (and I would stay there again). The room was very large and bed was very comfy. Washroom very small. The breakfast was underwhelming - they didn't tell us we could order lattes and cappuccinos. Very close to everything, walking. you don't need to take the water bus.

This is the best hotel in Venice. Our hotel room has balcony and you can see the canal and gondolas 🛶😍 anytime. The room was so big, there was a bathtub 🛀, there was another room inside the room and there was a sofa and a mini table, a lamp. Breakfast was gorgeous 🤩 It was the open buffet breakfast. Croissants , apple pie, cafe, juice, egg, fruits etc. You can find lots of food. And You sit at the breakfast table according to your room number. This is so good. Hotel is clean, perfect location 👌🏻 Far away 5 minutes from famous Rialto bridge and San Marco area. I put the view of pictures our room. Room 9 , you will be always special and amazing for us.❤️

The breakfast was very good and held in a lovely room, with a good range of things to choose from. The location was close to main tourist areas- Rialto and San Marco. Best of all was the coop supermarket around the corner on the grand canal, so getting water and food at ‘regular’ prices was easy. The room was very quiet, perfect for a ‘relax & regroup day’.
